Thank you for participating in the abcAssess beta. This document summarizes what you’re entitled to as a beta participant and what’s expected of you. It’s written in plain language — the full legal terms are in Section 6.10 of the abcAssess Terms of Service.
What You Get
During Beta
- Full free access to all features in abcAssess for the duration of the beta period
- No credit card required, no subscription needed
After Launch (Fall 2026)
- One free year of full access following public launch — same features as paid subscribers, no charge
- To claim your free year: complete the end-of-beta survey by the deadline Danielle sends you. If you miss the deadline, reach out to beta@abcassess.app — she’ll work with you.
Ongoing — Founding Member Rate
- After your free year, you’ll never pay full price
- 20% off the current subscription price, forever — on both Monthly and Annual plans
- If prices go up in the future, your discount goes up with them — you always pay 20% less than the standard rate
- Right now that means: $4/month (instead of $5) or $40/year (instead of $50)
If You’re Part of a Beta Center
- Every teacher at your center who actively participated and completes the survey gets their own free year and Founding Member rate
- When center licensing becomes available, your center receives a permanent 20% discount off the center license rate
What’s Expected of You
Use It For Real
Use abcAssess with your actual students during real assessment windows. The more you use it, the more valuable your feedback is — and the more you’ll get out of it.
Explore Beyond Your Daily Routine
Try features you might not reach for every day — reports, custom assessments, co-teacher invitations, backups, settings. The only way bugs and problems get found is if teachers actually use these features.
Tell Danielle Everything
Send feedback whenever something occurs to you — broken things, confusing things, ideas, wishes, vague feelings that something isn’t quite right. No message is too small. If you think of five things in one day, send five messages.

Complete the End-of-Beta Survey
Before launch, Danielle will send a short survey (about 5–10 minutes). Completing it is what confirms your free year. If you didn’t use abcAssess much during beta, fill it out anyway — that feedback matters too.
What’s Not Expected of You
- You don’t need to use abcAssess a minimum number of times
- You don’t need to be an expert or know everything about the app
- You don’t need to write formal reports or structured feedback
- You don’t need to be positive — honest is what matters
A Few Things to Know

Your data is safe. The same encryption and privacy protections in the launch version are in place right now. Beta status doesn’t affect how your students’ data is handled.

Things will change. The interface, features, and workflows may change during beta. That’s intentional. If something looks different than you remember, that’s probably a good sign.

The Founding Member rate is non-transferable. It applies to your individual account only and cannot be applied to a new account if you create one later.

The center discount applies to your center’s account, not individual teacher accounts, when center licensing becomes available.
